Chicken Satay Sauce

I've made satay before, with water and peanut butter, but this is so much better. It might be one of the best sauces I've ever had. Seriously. And it's ridiculously easy.

You need
Oil or butter
Red curry paste
Chili flakes

Coconut milk (normal, not light. Let it set in the refrigerator)

Peanut butter
What you do (serves at least two):
Heat up a pan with some oil or butter. When hot, put in 3,5 teaspoons of the curry and chili flakes. Fry it for a minute or two, then, add the box of coconut milk and about 3 tablespoons of peanut butter.   Heat everything. Depending on what you like, add more chili or more peanut butter. If you have unsalted peanut butter you might need to add salt or soy sauce as well.

Enjoy!

MY STYLE: INTERIOR

Over the years I have gotten to know myself better, including my style. I'm still not one of those people with a super specific style, but I feel I have a certain grasp of what I like and don't like. Inbetween there are of course some grey areas.

However, I started out loving all things (or no things?) minimal, but now I'm pretty much a maximalist. I love details, colours, unique materials and stuff that feels luxurious. I'm not into overly done places, I still like things simple, but I like them with a story. A rug from Morocco, a Buddha from Malaysia, sea shells from Bali.... I don't want my home to be steril and white anymore, I want it to have a cosy, yet classy vibe, with elements from all my favourite places in the world. I want my home to tell my story; where I'v been, what I love.

I don't know how to define my style, but maybe edgy elegance with a boho twist? Haha.
Anyway, what I do know is that I love(!) these homes featured on onekingslane.com:

High ceilings makes everything prettier.

Although they might be very practical, I'm not a fan of kitchen cabinets. Open shelves is much more my thing. Preferably (at the moment) I want nothing on the walls above my kitchen counter.

I love this. It has so much charm, but still feels somewhat refined.

THE FIRST ENTRY

So, the first entry... I am sure I will look back at this at some point, just to remind myself why I started this blog. It's been a few years since I last blogged. Back then it was all models and fashion photography; and although I still love fashion, this blog will be very different.

I keep finding myself frustrated that I can't remember where I found that good interior picture with the yellow chair, or that amazing salad reciepe. This blog is meant to relieve some of that frustration by gathering it all in one place. I hope to create some sort of a system of all the things I find inspiring, using hashtags and categories. The search function will probably come in handy too. Interior, fashion, food and travel destinations – everything will be posted and kept safe here. And although this is done for me, I of course hope to inspire some others along the way.

The name was chosen because today is a Sunday. Over the years Sundays have become very valuable to me. They represent peace and happiness; it is the day of the week where I get to do exactly what I want.
